The Final Statistics and Thoughts

Sorry for the delay in reporting the final numbers for the distribution in Trujillo. We have been busy, new grandson, Graham Matthew Bradley made his entrance on November 14th.
And then Thanksgiving and ..... Oh well, you get the picture.

Here are the final statistics from our time in Trujillo:

Kids Wheelchairs
28
Adult Chairs
141
Walkers
76
Canes
18
Crutches
38
Salvations
106
Already Christian
141
Restored Relationship
9
Just Listened
84

The most important of all is that through our efforts and your support, God changed the population of Heaven and hell by 106 lives. That is why we go and do the things we do, to make an impact on people more than just mobility. God is good, all the time.
We have been home now over a month and some days it seems so distant, other days so recent.
There are many blessings and things that could be told about, how someone would be searching for parts or a chair might need a special customization, we would pray for that part. Then another person would know where to look because  they had just seen it or the fix would become obvious.
Many "loaves & fishes" moments all week long.
Perhaps the best was last, when in our human limitations, we worried that we were going to run out of chairs because we had more people coming in than we had chairs in the store house. God provided all of our needs, the same way He always has. Never late, never lacking, enough for the day. Just as we are instructed to pray, "give us this day.....".
Perhaps the best day of the week was Thursday when Marciella came to the station where Carolyn, Lynell and I were serving. I had been in Trujillo for the first time in 2009 and Marciella came and the team I served with helped to provide her with a small chair. She stuck in my memory because as were waiting for her new cushion she climbed in my lap for a visit. I learned this year that she thought that Father Christmas had brought her a chair then. And that he had returned to fix her new one. Anyway, it was a very special moment for me, to see her again and that she remembered me.
I am looking forward to the next time I am blessed to serve with Joni and Friends on a Wheels for the World mission. God bless and have a Very Merry Christmas time with friends and family.

Amazing Day

Today was amazing in so many ways.  It started with a home visit with Renee, Gary, Jurg and Sally. We visited an 83 year old woman who had  broken leg and had been bed bound for 5 years. I have never seen such pitiable conditions. The lady was very frightened and it took us a while to calm her. It turns out her biggest fear was that we would steal her spoon. We were eventually able to help her into a wheelchair and even outside. When outside she decided that she wanted to go to the church where we were working. Praise The Lord.  Today we fitted 41 adults and 5 children, gave out 20 walkers, 5 pairs of crutches and 1 cane.  And most importantly we shared the love of God with people who are hurting. 21 people made professions of faith! Hallelujah.

Wednesday News from Judy

Wednesday night with Judy. Hi everyone from Truillo Peru. God is working and souls are being  saved. God has chosen his people to bring new souls to His kingdom. Praise His name! Love to all, JUDY

The First Day of Distribution

Here we are at the end of the first day of distrbution in Trujillo. It was a busy day, we saw approximately 40 people today with 36 receiving wheel chairs. But better than that, more than 25 received the gift of salvation.
That's why we are here, to bring new people to the kingdom.
Things to pray for are continuing good health for us all, for grace to abound and unity to prevail over everything the temptor throws in the way. Thanks for praying.

Thursday evening

Here we are, it's the night before we travel. Did I remember everything? What is missing? What else could be useful? Am I forgetting something?
What could it be?
Father, calm the feeling of doubt that is settling in the pit of my stomach. Give us confidence and peace and rest in Your strength. We love and trust You alone for everything we need.

Monday Before We Leave

It was good to talk with everyone this evening, we learned a lot.
Please continue to pray for us to gel as a team, for good health and unity as we come together this weekend.
Thanks to Sally for all of the work she has done leading up to this week. Please continue to pray for her and the rest of the advance team and the Corazon's Unites team as they get ready to welcome us this weekend.
Please be in prayer for all who we will serve next week. Pray for the ones who don't know the Savior. Pray for us, that we will be Jesus for them as we minister and serve. God is already preparing hearts to receive the Gospel.
Last, pray for smooth travel for all of us. See you all this weekend.

Getting Ready to Go

Here we are, just a week away from arriving in Trujillo, hard to imagine.
As we are preparing to leave, please remember each other in our prayers. Pray for grace to abound, for health and safety of our teammates and their families.
Pray especially for those we will serve and serve with in Trujillo.
Ask the Father for extra skill and understanding as we do His work. Pray that He will be glorified in all that we do. And that most of all, when people look at us, all they will see is Jesus.

See you in Trujillo.
